Citronix has introduced its new ci580 Smart-Featured, non-contact, Continuous Ink Jet (CIJ) printing system for applying best before dates, sell by dates, traceability codes and batch codes onto products and product packaging. Designed to meet a broad range of applications in a multitude of industries such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical, extrusion and personal care, the ci580 industrial ink jet features the most common needed functions and capabilities.

Specifically developed for the difficult economic climate, the Citronix ci580 industrial inkjet is available for only £3,995, offering the most advanced equipment at a significantly lower cost.

The ci580 industrial printers print 1 or 2 lines of print at high speeds. Text, bar codes and graphics are possible. A selection of MEK, Acetone or Ethanol inks are available for immediate dry times. True WYSIWYG message editing with drag and drop field based structure provide the user the most convenient and versatile message formatting available.

Designed for a global market, the ci580 continuous inkjet system features several language formats. The ci580 systems feature the proprietary SmartFlush printhead maintenance operation. Makeup solvent is used to clean the printhead, nozzle and gutter at startup and shutdown providing consistent, reliable daily startup. The system is housed in an IP55 (NEMA 4) enclosure for operation in wet or dry applications.
