MTBF Evidence for Citronix Continuous Inkjet Printers

Via an independent company, Citronix industrial printers have been subjected to a multiple year reliability study to identify Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) figures.

Initially, the purpose of the study was to achieve 10,000 hour MTBF to prove Citronix industrial ink jet systems to be reliable and capable of meeting the target one year warranty offering. Citronix coding and marking equipment easily achieved this number with no failures; in fact, the Citronix industrial ink jet printers achieved in excess of 30,000 hour and 450,000,000 million print cycles MTBF making it the most reliable industrial inkjet in the business. As a result of these findings, in 2007 Citronix began offering a Standard 2 Year Warranty on all industrial printers.

Mean Time Between Maintenance (MTBM)

It is important to note that these MTBF figures were achieved by conducting the relevant maintenance procedures at 2000 hour intervals. The Mean Time Between Maintenance (MTBM) for Citronix industrial ink jet printers is 2000 hours for routine/scheduled filter changes; this scheduled maintenance is inexpensive but extremely important to ensure high quality and reliable printing.
